This has been happening for a while actually, but I don’t know when exactly it started. On transitions between certain pages (mostly categories/home), the loading spinner doesn’t appear at all, but does on others, such as the about page and topics.
Nothing in dev console, happens on all browsers I have (basically every popular chromium derivative under the sun, and firefox), which are all at the latest version, and all themes.
