Loading & unloading terrain maps

As a Roblox developer, it is currently almost impossible to pack Terrain (e.g. as you would with a model) and unload/load it through scripting.

Why is this an issue and a concern which should be looked into?
I and @MetaProx are considering making our maps out of Terrain, with the system we’ve put together areas are all loaded and unloaded dependant on which area you’re at. With terrain, the only way we could think of doing it is having parts that are replaced with generated terrain through a script once the map loads but this is really hacky and inefficient for what we’re hoping to achieve. For now we’re forced to stick with part-terrain maps because of the issue we’re facing but hopefully, there is some support for moving terrain in and out of workspace or something along those lines in the future.

I totally support this, this would be so helpful and I dunno why it hasn’t been implemented yet.
