Great news!
I’m embarking on a career as a rapper. My rap name is Cyc-U. (Pronounced Psych-You).
And today my first single is dropping. It’s called “Move that Model” and it features Li’l Dee, Smelly Kevin, The Trashcan Mobsters and the Vienna Boys Choir.
Here’s a sample:
Face was flushed with irritation
'cause I had this Model at a weird rotation
I needed to nudge it just a bit
and I couldn’t cause the tools were total … ly not helpful.
To get that model in just the right place
I need to move it in local space.
If only I could hit Alt-L
When selecting that model it’d be rad as … anything!
Oh SNAP! That works! Looks like you folk’ll
soon move that model in a mode that’s local!
So let’s MOVE, MOVE, MOVE that model!
(Now the boys choir comes in)
Summary:
You can now use Local Mode when a model is selected while using the Move or Rotate Tool.
- Select the Move or Rotate Tools.
- Select a model.
- If you are not already in Local Mode, hit Ctrl-L (May be different on Mac) or use the right click context menu on the selected item to toggle into Local Mode.
Now you can move and rotate the model relative to the Coordinate Frame of its primary part.
