Local Server testing does not work

Visual Aids:

Empty baseplate - https://youtu.be/7q1fx3q3NXY
Actual game - https://youtu.be/tKyAUoWSigc

System Information:

Ryzen 7 7800x3D
64GB DDR4 6000MHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080

Beta Features:

  • CreateAssetAsync Lua API
  • Dragger QoL Improvements
  • Incremental typechecking and autocompletion in studio

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Open a new baseplate
  2. Click Start Local Server (any amount of players)

Expected behavior

Whenever I try to open a Local Server in any game (including an empty Baseplate), it shows a loading screen for a second and then doesn’t open.

I’ve attempted uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox Studio, which did not fix it. I started noticing this issue last night.

Thanks for the report! If you are able to send logs in a message, that’ll help us debug further since we were not able to repro locally. On Windows, logs are saved to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Roblox\logs. You’ll want to find the logs that contains: Launch Intent is StartServer or Launch Intent is StartClient

Seconding this issue, started experiencing this 6 hours ago

Edit: Resolved the issue by disabling Script Sync in Beta Features

This was resolved as of today, so whatever changed in this update fixed it.
