Localization portal in Creator Dashboard is not showing all strings

Reproduction Steps

  1. Navigate to game page, in my case it is Cooking in the Rain - Roblox
  2. Click on the 3 dots and then “Configure Localization”
  3. Notice that now it redirects me to the localization portal within the creator portal.
  4. See that Portuguese is 99% translated
  5. Click on “Translate” on top right
  6. Click on “Portuguese”
  7. In the filter drop down, select “Untranslated”
  8. No strings are shown.

Device Info

User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Platform Type: PC
Device Type: Computer

Expected Behavior
Show the strings that are untranslated

Actual Behavior
Untranslated strings are not shown.

Other signs that show that not all strings are shown.

  1. Even when I set the filter to “Translated” and search for a string that I know is in the game, say “Happy Cooking”, the string doesn’t show up.
  2. My game has more than 800 strings, but when I set filter to “default”, it is showing less than 100 strings.

I know that the old localization portal is somewhat broken, sometimes you need to refresh to see all the strings. But I promise that this new localization portal is EXTRA broken, refreshing more than 5 times and some strings are still not showing up.

Hey there, thank you for the report! We’re disabling the reroute for now and will investigate before re-enabling it.

Hey there, we’ve pushed out a fix. Can you see if the bug is now fixed?

hi, I see that the old localization portal is no longer accessible so it is hard for me to do a quick comparison.

Just for context, in the old localization portal, when I show all text it will plainly tell me that there are 57 pages of text.
In the new localization portal, it doesn’t tell me the total number of pages. The only way for me to find out is to press the page arrow until it reaches the end.
From the exercise, I find that there are only 43 pages of text now. Not sure if it is because there are more lines of text shown compared to the old localization portal. (couldn’t do a quick comparison as I said)

Hey there, thank you for checking out the new portal and clicking through the pages! The slight difference in the number of pages is because the old localization portal only showed 15 strings a page, while there are 20 strings a page in the Creator Dashboard’s localization portal. Judging from the number of pages you’ve reported in both portals, the number of entries seem consistent!
