The button to access Localization Tools in Studio is gone from the plugins tab of the ribbon toolbar.
Missing Localization Tools Button
This is where the localization tools should be accessible. As far as I am aware, there has been no mention of this as an intended change in the recent release notes.
Thankfully, it seems that this is just an ribbon toolbar error. I have found a way to access Localization Tools within studio and will share the workaround below.
Localization Tools
For those unaware, the localization tools in studio allowed users to directly upload CSV translation files to the cloud localization tables into the embedded localization tables under LocalizationService.
Access to the Localization Tools in Studio is described under the documentation pages here: Manually edit localization table | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
This is the tools the missing button would open.
Reproduction Steps
- Open Roblox Studio.
- Open an experience.
- On the Toolbar, navigate to the Plugins tab.
Expected Outcome
See and click on the Localization Tools button under the Plugins tab to open Localization Tools in studio.
Actual Outcome
Find that the Localization Tools button is no longer there and be unable open the Localization Tools.
System Information
I have tried studio on both Windows and MacOS and the Localization Tools plugin button is missing from both. This is occurring on both public and unpublished places.
Date / Time
My records show that I have last accessed the Localization Tool this way on around April 2. I noticed the missing button today April 13.
Workaround
The localization tools can be accessed by right clicking on the ribbon toolbar and selecting “Localization Tools” from the dropdown menu. Doing so will open the Localization Tools, in the same way the button did.
