This is usually the error for if you don’t have an email linked to your account, or if you already have an account with that email. But as you can see, I have been using this account for a while now, and it’s my only devforum account with this email
Expected behavior
For it to let me use my computer for the devforum (I am using my iPad right now)
I just got this recently and I was locked out for a solid 2 months.
I know you’ve stated that you dont have any alts linked, but just double check as I had a problem almost identical to what you’re dealing with right now. If you have any alternative accounts switch them to another email and log into the devforum on that account after you switched the email.
Hey there thanks for posting, the underlying issue here is that you can’t have 2 accounts on the same email address on the forum-side.
If you recently changed to email A and you previously logged into an account on email A on the devforum, you need to update that other account to email B, log into the devforum on that account to clear out email A, and only then can you log into the forum with email A on your first account.
This is a limitation with the forum software that we use where it requires a unique email address for each forum account.
Closing this out as a not a bug, and the error is not device-specific, it’s based on the account you’re trying to log in with.
The reason you can still use the forum on this device is because you have an active session. The issue is that the email address on your Roblox account likely changed recently to one that is already in use on the devforum. If you were to log out on your mobile device and log in there using the same Roblox account, the same issue would occur.
