howdy roblox devs! i’ve modeled out and began scripting a lockpicking minigame i want to add to my stealth game but i’m having some problems and it’s just not very satisfying in general. i’m taking some inspiration from this roblox game that is still in development: Lockpicking sneakpeak credit: PoptartNoahh i like how the lockpick like moves in between the pins and stuff, but i want there to be like a hook lockpick and also a rake lockpick to be able to go in and stuff. and how can i make the lockpick like stick to the mouse? i don’t want it to be a predetermined path for the pick to take, i’d rather it use physics and the pins just get thrown around by however the player moves the lockpick i thought it would be unique and funny / fun. here’s what the model looks like:
does anyone have any ideas or suggestions about anything (especially about how to make the model better)? if so please don’t hesitate to leave a reply! i’d like to make this system as fun and interesting as possible, as well as satisfying and practical (it’s for a stealth game)
ps i should also mention the lock is also scaled way up, as i want there to be a kind of visual representation of what is happening inside of the lock and that’s where the picking takes place, and also that the main goal of this post is just to try and find out how to move the pins with physics from a lockpick and the player’s mouse.
