Genuine Question.
Are we allowed to log chat messages from users for moderation purposes?

I’m working on this game and I want to provide a tool for my moderators to clear out any trolls or abusers by seeing if the report is necessary, and one way I wanted to increase my moderation’s efforts was by logging chat messages for moderation. This information is ONLY shared between active moderators and staff of my game.

(P.S. If anybody has the right category to place this into, let me know!)

Yes, saving chat messages is allowed.

its simply not breaking the TOS

also respect GDPR

If i recall correctly you can temporarily log chat messages within game however if you decide to store them off-platform they must be filtered.
