Looking for a ResizeAlign alternative

I’m looking for a plugin like ResizeAlign but with a small difference here. As someone who builds with 1/0.5/0.1 increments, it’s incredibly annoying to have the third and fourth numbers after the decimal, especially when I duplicate the parts and try to work with them around the same spot. Is there any plugin that doesn’t give me a million numbers after the decimal or any way I can set ResizeAlign not to do that?

I barely use plugins for building except in specific cases. I also love building small, and almost always build with 0.1 increments.

That being said, precision is difficult. An alternative I can think of is vanilla Roblox Studio. To me, it already provides all the necessary tools for precision building.

I set my move increments to 0.1 studs and rotation degree increments to 1° or 5°.
This way, whenever I build, all my parts are always in 0.1 measurements, and always line up perfectly. F3X also has exactly the same features: Setting precise increments. (I don’t know why you’d use it, though, vanilla Studio already has this.)

This method ensures you always have decimal points no lower than 0.1 studs, orientations of 1°, and a location no further than 0.1. What an easy method.

I sadly don’t believe ResizeAlign has any feature to restrict decimal numbers, but I’d advise you not to use it, if you have to, until the very end, for finishing touches. This way, you won’t have to deal with the weird decimals.

One pro of ResizeAlign is the fact that even weird decimal points will work. Therefore it should always be saved for last, or be used in any situation in which you wouldn’t mind having weird decimals.

Another tip I’d give is to change the speed in which your camera moves. I know this is basic, but only recently have I found out that it was a thing. Just go to File>Settings, and then under Studio simply edit your move speed.

With great precision comes the three point annoyance. Learning how to flow with it is the key to success.

Even when using a method that doesn’t use extra decimal points to meet at an angle, it still comes with its own set of problems. Both that way and resize align are useful in their own situations, and I use them both frequently for different applications.

Resize align is powerful, because even if a part has a weird size value, you can use the plugin to make parts fit together no matter what. Extend up to and in to are what make the plugin so useful in any situation.

Even thought these size values aren’t perfectly round numbers, its still a form of precision. Even in real architecture you will get these odd measurements that still need to be used to achieve the design.

When I duplicate a three point part like this, I usually switch my increment to .05 and size it down to the minimum, which automatically gets rid of any weird sizing. Either that or use the properties tab, which is probably faster.

Placing a perfect increment part and extending the weird part up to that one is a good way to maintain “order”, as well as dragging the perfect increment part onto the end face of the weird part, and continuing on.

One of the flaws with this method is that you never know where the end of the line of parts you are making is going to end up. In the end, its position will be three decimal points, not the size. You cannot have both at once, its just not possible.
