Into the Dark
About ITD
ITD is a break from your stereotypical roblox RPG, instead we’re going bold in a new direction, 2D pixel like games such as OMORI & Undertale. This fresh new look can keep all of roblox’s 3D benefits using some camera angling and titling the background!
Pulled from the game description, ITD is
After a tragic event in your life, claiming the life of your sister, fears you never knew you had consumed you. This left you to stay in only your room, and never venture out. The fears paralyzed you, loomed over you, but after one day when you broke free from the fears, you took your first step outside from months of enclosure to meet your friends. But everything goes for the worst…
Into the dark is a horror rpg where your main challenge are your own fears. Overcome them, figure out what’s happening, and triumph through the eternal darkness.
Will you venture into the dark?
The Job
Some things you should know before jumping in…
- This project uses Rojo & GitHub
- We use Volt framework
- You should have python3 installed (for the asset manager utility)
This project expects you to be relaxed, and not so much focused on payment. We’re trying to have a place were we can be relaxed with each other while still working on a professional manner. You are expected to be a intermediate~advance scripter! Asking for help is okay, and is expected, but you should be at a reasonable skill level were you can manage things on your own for the most part.
Having a basic understanding of python is not needed, but would help a lot in creating future utilities in our codebase.
Current Progress
Very simple showcase of what I’m talking about with, “2D” and simple animations.
Example of our asset manager CLI
Payment
The system will be monthly payment of a larger side of small robux as-well as percent. I’m doing this as I don’t want to fully dive in without knowing if anyone is interested, but I am ready to spend money in order to pay the team evenly & rightfully.
