Looking for Feedback on my new project: Raccoon Games

Hi everyone!

This is my first time sharing a project I’ve been working on, and I’m excited (and a bit nervous!) to hear your thoughts. My game called Raccoon Games is currently in its alpha stage, and I’d love for the amazing Roblox developer community to give it a try and share feedback on how I can improve it. (btw it is necessary to be with someone else to start a match)

What is Raccoon Games?
A collection of fun and competitive mini-games where players can team up or face off in (I will add some in near future):

  • :skull: Deathrun
  • :hocho: Murder Mystery
  • :soccer: Ball
  • :tractor: Tank Battles

What I’d love feedback on:

  • Game mechanics: Are they fun and engaging?
  • Performance: Does the game run smoothly in ur device?
  • User experience: Is the interface intuitive and easy to use?

You can play the game here:

Your suggestions and ideas mean a lot to me as I continue developing and improving the game. Feel free to leave your feedback in the comments or send me a message directly. :smiley_cat:
Looking forward to your thoughts. :face_with_monocle:

my screen got stuck like this

Pretty cool game, nice map as well. It’s just that it gets a bit repetitive after a while, maybe try adding some modifiers to each game so that every minigame doesn’t feel the same?

Edit (the GUI was still on screen):

Hi, thank you so much for playing Raccoon Games and for your feedback. :smiley_cat: :cowboy_hat_face:
I’m really sorry about the GUI issue and the screen getting stuck; I’m actively working on fixing that right now to ensure it doesn’t happen again. I appreciate u pointing it out, it helps me identify areas to improve.
I’ve been brainstorming ways to make the mini-games more dynamic, and adding modifiers sounds like a great idea. I’m thinking of features like:

  • Random challenges or twists (e.g., faster traps in Deathrun or limited visibility in Murder Mystery).
  • Power-ups or new mechanics to shake things up.
  • More minigames like cooking and change the football game style.

Thanks again for your support and for sharing your thoughts. Feel free to let me know if you notice anything else! :smirk_cat:

Hi  :cowboy_hat_face:
Thanks for sharing your feedback! You’re absolutely right. The game is more focused on multiplayer experiences, and I can see how that might limit the fun for solo players.

I’m already working on adding more games and features that can be enjoyed both solo and with friends. For example, I’m planning to introduce:

  • Single-player challenges: Timed obstacle courses or AI-controlled opponents.
  • Flexible modes: Mini-games that adapt based on the number of players in the server.

Anyways, If you have any other suggestions, I’d love to hear them.

I don’t want to be a raccoon. I am a Doge. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

As a solo player, the round ended instantly.

I see you are planning on adding solo play. Until then, it is hard to give feedback.

I recommend adding some sound effects to the ball, tank shooting & jumping.

Some background music will be nice as well, like for death run, intense music fast-paced music will fit in perfectly and for the murder mystery mode some calm piano music might fit in.

And also a tutorial would be good for new people. For instance, I would’ve never known that in the ball game mode that if you press space near the ball it would kick it, so either have a prompt if the player’s is in X game mode to have a little UI to show the easy to see but doesn’t disrupt the player from playing X game mode, or you can have a separate game to show the player each game mode(I don’t recommend this though but you can decide that if it works better for your game or not)

This is going to be a nitpick but, I don’t like empty feeling maps(Example: the lobby is a few bushes and plants but it still feels kind of empty)

So in summary this is what I would add after you fix X, Y & Z bugs.

  1. Music to fit the game mode

  2. Sound effects

  3. Tutorial for the player’s first time in X game modes

  4. Fill the map up to make it feel less empty

Anyways you have a good base for a game good luck and Happy Coding!

Haha, fair point about being a Doge! :dog2: I totally get it, and I’m actually planning to add more skins soon, including animals like dogs (and maybe even a Doge-inspired one)! :paw_prints: That way, players can choose their favorite character and feel more connected to the game.

I’m actively working on adding features and game modes that will be fun for solo players. These updates should help rounds feel more engaging, even when you’re playing alone.
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts  :dog:

Hi MichaAndersan!
Thank u so much for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate the time u took to share these ideas—it’s incredibly helpful (a bit late answer from me I know).
I was

  • Sound Effects & Music: I like the idea of fitting background music for each game mode (e.g., intense music for Death Run and calm piano for Murder Mystery). This is something I’ll be working on in upcoming updates. (Btw ball, tank shooting has now sounds thx to u!)
  • Tutorials for New Players: It would be a bit hard thinking adding in every minigame but I will , also I must improve the first tutorial (it is outdated) by the updates I made recently.
  • Map Improvements: You’re right. I’m brainstorming ways to make it more engaging and lively—maybe with interactive objects, more decorations, or even fun mini-activities to pass the time between games. (Modeling maps is not my strong point :smiling_face_with_tear: but this experience will help me)

Your feedback gives me a clear path to improving Raccoon Games. I’m really excited to work on these changes! If you have any other thoughts or ideas, feel free to share them—I’m all ears.

Thanks again, and happy coding to you too! :tada:
