Although this may sound a little rude, it would look significantly better if you can try rendering it with metal materials, scuff marks, particles/effects in paint(dot)net or photoshop, etc.
It looks a tad bland, low quality, and has some noticable clipping issues. The bloom is overkill yet low on some parts like the sun. The reflections seem really off putting including the shading. Some parts looks like plastic instead of metal. And it overall feels very rushed/not enticing to want to play that certain game.
Thumbnails for games should give context and an idea of what the game may be about rather than being mysterious or cool looking like a guy standing still and staring at the camera.
One last thing I’d like to mention that could improve this though, camera angles, lower camera angles facing up make it menacing, higher camera angles facing down makes it look like you’re looking down on them.
Adding textures afterhand such as taking pictures from real materials and pasting them on with overlay helps. Altering photos is always neccessary if you want it to be how you want. Add some details if you need to, shadows, etc.
However thats just my opinion
It definitely looks cool, but the styles don’t match up.
The person is low-poly, and looks like it is made out of plastic, with little details.
But the guns, sun, and terrain are very realistic.
To fix this, you can make the armor more reflective, and use a metal material if you haven’t already. Then raise the specular scale. I would recommend to have some sort of scuff mark as a decal as @3rdhoan123 wrote.
And to make the genre more obvious, you can have laser shots near the person. When people are looking at thumbnails they don’t take time to puzzle out the meaning of the game, so that would clear up that it is a shooter game.
Good luck!
EDIT: When I mean laser shots, I mean like rectangular neon parts, like in star wars. In my “vision” they are going for the person, and he is “dodging” them
It looks really good, and I love all the stars and etc. in the background! Some times it can be fairly difficult to render inside of Roblox Studio, and you still did a good job. The only thing I’d recommend is changing up the lighting a bit, adding some rays and stuff to add a bit more difficult, to make it looks like the planet behind him is shining on him or something, just to add a little more difficult and a bit more feel to it… Otherwise its great!
The thumbnail looks good. Though what I do recommend is that your text logo on your thumbnail should slightly be moved down a little. Overall, looks like a nice thumbnail for your game.
