I’ve been working on a game for quite some time now and I’ve decided that having some feedback on it from others on the devforum would be really helpful.
The game is titled ‘perfectly normal walking simulator’ (i have no idea what to name it) and it’s an exploration game mostly inspired by The Backrooms, while still having its own style that is based on many sources.
It is still in development and has many exits to out of bounds, but these will be filled in the future.
I didn’t implement any lore yet, though i have an idea for an intro thing (not sure if i’ll implement it):
when at your parents’ house, you notice an old VHS camcorder, and as you’re really keen on that kind of technology, you decide to take it back with you. The next day you do some urbex to test out the camcorder, and when exploring you find a set of stairs that lead to a strange place (or noclip, that would explain the damage on the footage). The rest is exploration, maybe there will be an ending with a noclip back to reality or something.

I’m looking for feedback on the following:
- is the atmosphere unsettling enough?
- are the graphics and sound design immersive? (keep in mind that many footstep sounds are not added yet)
- how do you rate the overall atmosphere?
- which is your favorite part of the game, and which is your least favorite? (and why)
Any positive or negative feedback is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
