Hey everyone, I’m looking for some feedback on the gameplay of a game I am currently working on. I understand the the UI is primitive and that the lobby is very rough, but I wanted to see if this game has a potential audience. Please note that mobile is not supported at this moment.
This is a very interesting game; I had a lot of fun playing it. I’ve seen similar typing games before but I haven’t played them long enough to know which ideas in this game are original and which are inspired. Either way, the gameplay was fluid and I enjoyed the enemy variation of the later waves (especially the spawners).
I did notice that I could continue playing even after I lost all my health, though.
Yes, the health bug is a known one, but thank you so much for the feedback!
In your opinion, do you think that more enemy varieties would make the game more interesting or do you think that they would overwhelm the player?
I would enjoy seeing more varieties since I honestly quite like the chaotic feel of the late waves. Besides, new varieties don’t necessarily need to make the game more overwhelming if you implement them correctly.
For more ideas, I’d like to see enemies that need to be hit multiple times, with subtle variations in their word on each life stage. You could possibly also add ones that split into multiple smaller enemies when hit.
Great time killer! The game is great so far and is overall pretty polished. The only issue i really found was that the words would intersect with each other. (also I misclicked and pressed “not interested” I like it so far.)
There really isn’t any great workaround for this issue other than the fact that if you start typing, the word that you are trying to type will appear above the words that you are not typing. Thanks for the feedback!
This is a really interesting game… maybe try adding more features like for example, every word you get right you get XP or money, boss rounds where there will be a really big word, etc
Other than that I can’t really say if this would get popular because I’ve never really seen a game like this
It definitely has potential, though it does need more work. This is the type of game that I would play in Roblox. I will make sure to favourite it and check for updates.
Hope you finish it!
Maybe add a background behind the text because the words clip over each other.
(I need an insane mode because I am too good at the game).
The game looks nice and has a nice feeling. However, it seems that it doesn’t get much harder each wave that passes (and with “harder” I mean “faster”). The 10th wave felt like the 1st but just with a few more incoming words. Also, for some reason the game glitched at some point. I clicked Enter to skip the countdown for the 16th wave, and the game glitched:
I thought I had fixed that bug, but it looks like it still needs to be squashed. The frustrating part about this issue is that it doesn’t replicate in studio, and only seems to occur on actual Roblox servers. Thank you for the feedback.
Oh and also, as I found that bug I tried to open the developer console with F9 but it doesn’t seem to work. Same with ESC to open the menu (to leave the game). It only happens after starting the 1st wave.
This is because if you try to unfocus the textbox, then the client will force you to focus back on the textbox. It ensures you can type the next word as soon as you hit enter. I have some solutions in mind, but as you are the nineteenth reply in this thread and this is the first time this has been mentioned, it’s a low priority bug. Thanks for the feedback.
