Hey! I’m BronzedMocha. For the past year, I have been working on an open-world fighting game called Betaphase.
Betaphase is a lot like a battle royale but with a different objective. Instead of eliminating all enemy players, players are divided into teams and set off to search for and capture large towers called totems. Players will scavenge large open-world maps for weapons, health packs, and other items that can help them on their objective. The team with the most totems captured by the end of the game wins the round.
Each player is equipped with a device that shows them the map, displays the current time and weather, connects players together to a team chat, and allows them to connect to and capture the totem along with other devices that will be added to the game in the future.

About The Job
Scripters:
- optimize the game’s current data structures and game mechanics
- add flair to UI transitions and animations
- code visual effects and the weather system
- code new game mechanics, assets, and gamemodes in future updates
Although the project is nearly ready for release, there is still more work to be done. There is still a lot of additional planned updates I want to add on top of the base game that is not yet ready. I want to make sure the base game is stable and can stand on its own, as well as release new features and revamp mechanics that will keep the game refreshing. I need a versatile scripter that understands the project and can work alongside me to expand it and flesh out new updates.
3D Modelers:
(this is not a low poly game, looking for modelers experienced with PBR texturing)
- use third party software to create assets (Blender)
- create and texture weapons for the project (3+ sword meshes with retextures by release)
- create nature props (trees)
- create buildings, towers, and any structures depending on the map
- create buildings and other assets for the lobby
At the moment, there are not enough assets for the game to release. The game only has a couple of royalty-free placeholder weapons I got for setting up the weapon code. I don’t have an exact number of swords that I want in the game by the release, but I am happy with 3+ sword meshes with a few retextures each.
Along with the weapons, the current map is barren and only contains the terrain. I want to furnish the map with forests, bushes, and rocks, and I want to furnish future maps with their appropriate assets (trees, rocks, bushes, buildings, streetlights, etc.)
The base project is planned for release by the end of March.
Payment
All the payments will come from group funds generated from the project. I am looking for a small onboard team of flexible, long-term developers to split the pay across. You will be paid during the duration of your time on the team.
