I’ve been working on a kart game heavily inspired by Crash Team Racing over the past few months now, and I feel it’s time enough to have some more maps; I also want several different customizable body types for different stats, along with interchangeable wheels.
There are two current maps already made by masterbeyblade21 and maelstronomer, both of which are great examples.

The game will also have an area called the Overworld, a singleplayer area that sort of works as a physical menu. Players can practice drifting and other skills, along with drive to the bodyshop to upgrade their kart or approach one of the many themed area along the map to enter a racetrack based on the theme of the surrounding area.

Karts are $25/10K Robux each (includes the set of interchangeable wheels)
Tracks are $70/28K Robux each
Overworld will be $85/34K Robux each
Payment won’t be made until the work is complete, although I will not ask to receive it until the payment is made.
Should we build cars that are the same size as the karts that are already in the game?
CSG policy?
What size and shape is the starting grid?
Is there a specific diameter that wheels should be?
Is there a template with all the relevant car pieces or track pieces?
EDIT: are there some template pieces like steering wheels that all cars use, and its placement relative to the player?
-Each kart’s size will vary slightly based on the stats build, but mostly, yes, I’d like the karts to be around the same size as the placeholder ones currently used. Although Default should be exactly that size.
-CSG is fine is not preferred; whichever the builder is best at. Although if somebody is able to make a few kart bodies but not all, I’d prefer if they had a consistent buildstyle, so the next builder might have to mimic the style/method of the previous builder.
-Not sure what you mean by “starting grid”, unless you mean the arrangement of the players prior to the start of a race. If so, here’re the spawns on a studded baseplate with the finish line for reference. (Karts are around 1 studs apart from each other.)
-I’ll send anyone a mesh of a wheel that is as large as a wheel should be and you would build one based on that without going beyond it’s size - each wheel will be a different style/size/build since they will be able to offer stats boosts. (e.g. +1 acceleration for light/small wheels with noticeable tread.
-I can whip one up in few moments for testing. Lemme know if you want me to asap.
-So far there are no specific parts such as steering wheels that are set in stone since the only kart so far is a placeholder, and I can move the position of the player on the kart. Although, again, for default I want the scale to mostly match the placeholder.
There’s very little information about what you want with the cars. How they should look? Whatever a “pura” is?
I was mostly asking about the template to get the proper sizes for the karts and the likes. I think I’ve eyeballed it fairly well. The size you have chosen for your karts is difficult to work with because it is barely larger than the player. I suggest allowing for carts as wide as 4.8 studs.
Oh, sorry about the confusing Trello stuff, a lot of it are variables I used to remember what each is. Each of the items in the “More kart bodies.” card are the body types, plus one that a boss will use, which is a little different from karts that players will be using.
I rambled about stat builds even though it wasn't totally relevant, click if you wanna know each planned build type.Kart bodies I have planned (are already scripted, just no physical build) include:
-High turning build (based on Pura - Crash Team Racing character with the same build ((also best ctr kart js)))
-Drifter (low turning, low acceleration, high top speed)
-High acceleration (below average on the other 2 stats)
-Default (balanced stats)
-The one special kart an NPC boss will be using will have a very bulky/tanky kart; the player will have to use explosive-type power-ups to take him out. If anyone wants to make this one over the other lemme know.
(Stats are acceleration, top speed, and turning power. Jump power is also a hidden one only changeable via perks.)
I made a free model for scale/testing. I’d prefer if kart width and length not exceed 5x9 studs.
