The Los Angeles Police Department is the police force in Los Angeles, California. The LAPD tackles crimes and investigates crime scenes all over Los Angeles. Officers in the police department hope to ensure that you are safe and secured within Los Angeles and that we will try our best to help you as much as we can when it comes to you if you are having a problem in the city. The LAPD offers many positions as a police officer or a special unit within the LAPD.

Anything illegal in real life is also illegal here. Breaking a law or multiple laws will result in being detained by a trained Police Officer, depending on the severity of the crime, you will be punished by either going to prison or paying a fine.

How to join the Los Angeles Police Department
Recruitment
To join the Los Angeles Police Department, you will need to join the LAPD group. By joining the group, you will be ranked Cadet, to achieve the rank of Police Officer, you must complete a training session in the LAPD academy. Police Sergeant and higher are earned by exams. To join a unit, you must attend and succeed in the try-out and/or the exam for the unit.

Guidelines
These are the official guidelines for the Los Angeles Police Department, all officers are expected to follow these.
- All regular LA rules apply to all officers.
- You cannot detain or arrest a person without a reason
- You cannot shoot your firearm without a reason, it shall only be used as self-defence.
- Abuse of power or admin abuse is strictly prohibited.
Punishments
Depending on the severity of the rule broken, you will either get a strike or a suspension (length can vary). If an officer manages to get 3 strikes, they will get a 7 day suspension from the Los Angeles Police Department.
