randomly after a playtest i noticed one of my scripts went missing despite the fact i never deleted it myself
and also even though it told me many times it had autosaved my autosave folder is genuinely empty

Was it a published location? If so, autosaves are stored on Roblox’s server, not on the local machine
the changes i made with the script weren’t published
But was the place itself published at some point?
yeah, a bunch of times over
it says i did it 44 times
OK, so there is an autosave file available, on the Roblox server. If, in studio, you go Game Settings, then places, then select the correct option there (you may need to right click it), then select versions, look for a version there that probably has the script in it.

thanks, the version last published isnt missing any important or a lot of code so i can just put it back
