You say that the programmer needs to be fluent in object oriented programming? Are you referring to working with the rbxLua api or the actual “object oriented programming” being a universal concept?

You also mentioned that the animator needs to be fluent in object oriented animating. This is the first time that I hear the term. Again I think it would be better to ask that the animator is comfortable with Roblox studio and it’s api.

You’ve been making a lot of recruitment posts recently. What happened to the other games?

Aren’t feasable or found developers.

What is the Simulator called? I’ma cartoony builder and a I can do a little 3D Modelling for nature and stuff like that. This is my portfolio and shop (For Hire)Crazy Jolly Studios Shop (UPDATE) im interested in working for you

I’m interested in becoming a builder. I have send you a friend request on discord.

You have no backup options for the other developers besides the programmer if the game fails.

It is very hard to find a good developer that will work for a percentage of the game with no backup option. I’d say it’ impossible

People want financial security when developing for a game and just a percentage is not going to cut it for the cream of the crop, which I assume you want.

I’d suggest adding a legal-binding contract in there where people get x amount of USD/and or robux if the game is not able to return x amount of robux to the developer. If you want to go the easy route, just pay everyone upfront. Pay them a lot upfront with no percentage or not too much upfront then a percentage of the game.

This is pretty much the only way you’re going to get good people to develop for you. If you can’t afford this then you should look on discord servers. You won’t find the best devs, but at least you’ll have some.

That’s my advice at least.

A lot of smaller developers are incapable of paying a team upfront because we haven’t made a successful game yet. No one realizes that.

Also, legal-binding contracts don’t always work as 1) Parties aren’t old enough or 2) Parties don’t wanna sign one.

I get everything being said though.

Thanks for the criticism and advice.

We do realize you can’t always afford it, but the really good developers, as I said, want financial security. You don’t get some sort of special treatment by them just because you can’t afford it.

You should also probably ask the ages of your developers before getting them on to see if they’re 18+. If they are then you can get a lawyer to write a contract for you if you really want to take this seriously, as it probably won’t be legally binding unless a lawyer writes it.

really good developers, as I said, want financial security.

doesn’t everyone?

also, majority of developers who are 18 or older, and can sign these are those who are successful and made big games and have money.

Yes, everyone does, but some people don’t know about it.

And yeah, as I said you should check to see if they can sign it.

that’s basically taking advantage of those ppl.

I just want to make a game.

I’ll stop the conversation here as to not bump it any further, have a good night/day.

Where is the rest of the 15% of profit going? What will you be doing in the development process?

me and the group. i will be coding most of the back-end stuff, and dealing with other stuff.
