Low poly Forest feedback!

Hey! I’m making a low poly guessing game and this will be the first theme: a forest. What do you think I should improve on or add to the map.

shadowmap with cartoony style models doesn’t look good

Thank you so much! I did not realize the difference xD

Would you recommend voxel or future? Also do you think I should have global shadows on?

I actually think shadows with cartoony models can work very well. I like the look and would keep shadows on. Just depends what look youre going for.

I would try to model some different trees though as these look all the same model.

shadows would look better if they were more sharper, but roblox is the most coolest engine so u can’t change shadow resolution

future has same shadows as shadowmap, voxel maybe can look good, try it, if it’s looking bad, use any engine you want, only not the future, it will definitely look bad with these dynamic light effect on low poly models

I used voxel, green ambient and turned off global shadows

with shadows? (1231984012348012039841283094)

add more ambient, then any engine even without shadows will look better, like falling leaves, wind, moving tree leaves, grass

Wdym wind and falling leaves, how do you do that? Sorry I’m a lighting noob lol

it’s not lighting, particles and 3d models, just add more details to world

you can change shadow sharpness.

it’s not sharpness, it’s smoothing

that means the same thing, the less smooth it is the sharper it gets.

It looked much nicer with shadows… :frowning:

ok i will add them back
charrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

voxel shadows, or make shadowmap shadows be more brighter
