Please judge my fountain. Criticism is appreciated.
Thanks for the replies!
Um what fountain???
Is that blood? It doesn’t seem to be following the rules of physics.
Its for a horror game that my friend and I are working on. I don’t know much about physics so I wouldn’t know how it is supposed to flow. Got any tips on correcting that?
This looks… decent at most.
For starters, I suggest making these parts atleast connect.
You can have a cleaner looking fountain if instead of using parts, you use a cylindrical union in which the middle area is negated, something like this.
If you don’t know how to do that, here’s a quick tutorial:
Step 1:
Obviously, you first get a cylinder from the part selector and make it the size you want.
Step 2:
Duplicate that cylinder, make it less wide and extrude it along the Y axis.
Step 3:
Negate the duplicated cylinder.
Step 4:
Union both parts together.
Hope this helps.
thank you musket this is poggers
i don’t particularly like it, no offense but it looks kind of bad, all the parts are clipping into one another, which i find is a common problem even amongst some skilled builders, and the fountain itself just seems so plastic like.
You should use unions to make a circle instead of a bunch of bricks.
I recommend using a particle emitter to make it go like real blood instead of blocks.
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely do that!
Yes I agree. I haven’t gotten around to changing the textures. I’ll get right to that. Thanks for the feedback!
That sounds like a great idea. But I’m sort of a noob at particular emitters so if you could link a tutorial that would teach me how to do that or tell me how yourself, it would be very appreciated. Thanks for the feedback!
the bottom circle has spots that arent filled in. i recommend you use a gap fill plugin.
Looks good but i would add some blood running down the sides of the fountain instead of spraying into the air and landing in the bottom reservoir. The water should only spray into the first dish. and fall into the second and then the bottom.
