Low resolution UGC and clothing in-game

Hello!

This issue has existed for quite a long time now, still hasn’t been fixed. UGC and clothing items will appear as low resolution when ingame (and sometimes inside Roblox Studio aswell) but look fine on the website (and in the uploaded files). This is not due to graphics level as I have maxed them out both ingame and in studio. The steps to replicate this is purely to join any game or enter any studio and look at clothing/UGC. Some items appear low resolution despite the texture file being high resolution. Link to asset that appears low resolution ingame: https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/73754886919900

Images below show UGC ingame and on the website:

Similar issue but with clothing:

Expected behavior

Some fix for this issue as it has hindered me when it comes to development for over a year.

For the clothing the problem is just one of Roblox loading it in, this is usually resolved after a few seconds or minutes.

I’ve had this issue for over a year and it hasn’t resolved even after an hour in studio, even in an almost empty studio.

This is most likely due to the way Roblox compresses textures in R6. Do they load in full quality using R15?

The bottom picture you see there is r15

How much system memory do you typically have available when this happens?

Lots, 16+ gb free. I have 32 gb total atm, even happened when I used to run 48 gb memory.

It’s because the texture is baked, this always happens to my items when they are baked

It’s just a flat texture, baking has nothing to do with how roblox treats a png file. There’s no difference between a png (baked) and a png (not baked). + the 2d clothing isn’t baked. The images I attached in my post are not using PBR.

Hi @ayJadi, are you still facing this issue? If so, can you send us an rbxl containing the above asset and avatar? Thanks!
