[MAC]/[MAC BOOK] Toolbox is laggy/parts of the GUI does not show therefore cannot function

For some reason when opening the toolbox on Mac it does not allow you to use certain things like the view expander, selection of the hovered item(s) do not work and does not fix its self unless you re-toggle toolbox.

No this has nothing to do with the opened programs or specs. It just happens. It is the same whether I have everything open or just studio.

Just wanted to give a bit more info – this also happens on Windows too, only sometimes, not as often, but especially the lagging part. Oh, and not only that, but the Viewport Frame lags when the Toolbox is open as well sometimes.

Wanted to follow up on this thread. We’ve shipped some improvements to the toolbox. Are you either of you still experiencing these issues?

Apologies for the delayed response.

Just checked, works/runs smooth as butter.

However, I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’m not particularly a fan of when your cursor is hovering over a search suggestion

then pressing enter (after you have typed something in the search bar) that suggestion goes in the search and searches, when I didn’t even click that suggestion.

I’m not sure about everyone else, but when I use a search bar, I click it (obviously), and I naturally move my cursor down a bit off the search bar (I’ve always done this), where the suggestions box is, so when I type my search and press enter, right? It then searches that suggestion my mouse was hovering on, even though I didn’t want to search that, only because my mouse was hovering on it.

This is becoming more and more of a standard thing in searching, I first noticed it with YouTube, and it’s so irritating.

Maybe this is a me problem, but the point is, this never used to be like that, either that or I’m missing something.

Here’s a clip of what I mean about the search thing (excuse the oddly large cursor)


In this clip you see I was about to search something, and I had my cursor hovering over the “football” suggestion, after I was finished typing my search, I pressed enter, and instead of search what I typed, it searched the suggestion my cursor was hovering on. Really annoying.

I am not longer on mac as I have a desktop now so I have no idea, I use vinegar on ubuntu now. Sorry.

Just to clarify, if this is a feature, maybe you could think about adding a setting in studio settings to turn it off?
