MacOS Future Lighting Shadows

PC Info: MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
Date First Experienced: 10/9/23
Date Last Experienced: 4/9/24

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Open a game with Future Lighting on an M1 MacOS Machine (could be intel too but untested)
  2. Turn Graphics on Max
  3. Pay attention to the shadows not being correct, and being all different types of shapes

Here is a video showing the issue:
Showcase of the Issue

Expected Behavior: The shadows should be where the model/mesh/part is, and matching the shadow of the model/mesh/part.
Actual Behavior: The shadows are all over the place, and not matching how a shadow for that model/mesh/part should be.

Edit: I found out recently that it slightly affects iOS devices.

This is just an acknowledgment announcement!

We’ve filed a ticket to our internal database, and we’ll follow up when we have an update!

Thanks for the report!

hello, would you mind providing a link/file to a test place with repro? as well as logs if possible. thank you!

Is a link to games that shows its effects the most fine? I don’t have enough time to make a test place.

of course, that would work. thank you!

Reproduction steps:

  1. Play an experience with future lighting, with more than one mesh placed around the experience
  2. The meshes have shadows enabled, along with having a decent poly count

Experience links:
Royale🌴High [POOL PARTY] - Roblox (easiest to find where it is)
Who's SUS? [X2] - Roblox
Berry Avenue 🏠 RP - Roblox
Dress To Impress [THE GAMES] 🏅 - Roblox
