Made a Glitch Effect

I’ve created a glitch effect, but is it better when the glitch parts move with the player, or when they stay where they were created?

It’s better when it is following the player in my opinion.

A mix of both would be cool, perhaps even breifly cloning the player in place, making the current player invisible, and then very quickly switching between for a few frames; as if they were lagging.

IMO I think a mix of both would be great. A few of them should stick with the player, and others would trail behind. If you go with the glitches not following player, they should be more numerous but die out faster.

Okay, made it so it’s both.

Doesn’t work too well when the player walks too fast (that’s why I’m having the character walk slow in the video) but I’ll continue working on it.

I’ll be working on the cloning the player part, that’s not too hard.

Here we go, cloning:

The last one is hard for me to watch, so that must mean you did a good job. I did something like this but with z fighting. I did to make it look like the computer is broken, and it has a nice effect.
