So, just for fun, I made a very bad fake lag (It’s supposed to look like that for other players.) So, no framerate drop or anything on the user end. Everyone would think it’s a fake lag as the player is sort of, teleporting around, but it doesn’t look like lag at all. I have no idea what is off about it. Criticism would be heavily appreciated!
Nice but it just looks like the player is awkwardly teleporting around, this doesnt look like actual lag
Can you go into further detail? What can I change up? What can I add on?
Maybe you need to pause their movement, then teleport them 10- 20 studs in the direction that they were travelling so it looks ‘realistic’.
try increasing and varying the frequency of movements a bit, also changing the orientation of the player to match move direction would make sense.
i’m not a scripter, but you could make it so when you walk, it displays the animation, but you are walking in place
you could see how long it takes to walk 1-# studs and time it so when you walk every # studs it teleports you to the location you actually walked to. (with a slight delay)
also, no idea if this is possible but you could make the fps cap 15 or 20
