Made a terrrain world for my game

I made a terrain world for my game with a lot of islands.

There are a lot of tunnels and secret caves which you can’t really see from a bird’s eye view, I’m thinking of adding a couple more islands before saying I’m done with it. Each island is themed, for example, one is a desert, one is a volcano, one is a swamp etc. The large rocky one in the middle is the one you start off in.

None of these are drawn, I can show them from different views if you’d like.

(Ignore the rocks that are hovering in the sky)

I don’t know what makes you think some parts of it are drawn, Honestly I’m kind of offended.

Draw, you used the terrain editor to “draw” them on, it’s extremely hard to make smooth terrain not look drawn on.

They look great with the choice for materials and especially the how well made the world was made, but I do have some suggestions to put in mind:

  1. Maybe some different variety of trees and vegetation on the landscape.
  2. Maybe add some lighting such as DepthOfField or Atmosphere and a sky.
  3. Have some sort of round frame behind the icons and put them in a corner instead of being it close to the middle of the screen.

That’s all that I have to say, nice work! :+1:

Love the use of a variety of different terrain types and techniques, one thing I noticed is all the beaches are very flat, maybe try adding a bit of a slope to them. A useful technique for sea floors is just a large sand brick, it blends pretty well with the sand terrain and saves on many voxels. Top of the rocks feel a bit flat too, maybe adding some large mountains for more elevation?
