Deku from My Hero Academia season 1. What should I Improve on? (This is my 2nd gfx in case your wondering).
Lighting is strange but it does look good.
Yeah, I kinda had problems with lighting and positioning.
Keep on practicing!
because you can achieve the good stuff!
Wow this is really good for your second gfx! Great job! That really does look like Deku, I just looked at it, and was like “Woaa that’s definitely Deku.” Here are some things you could improve on:
- Add a face if you want to! This would help let Deku’s personality shine, I’m sure you could find a face like his on the toolbox.
- You could try find a MHA build on the toolbox to use as a background, as that would make the scene more interesting.
*Always have even lighting, even if it is the look you are going for. I reckon just a little bit of lighting at the front would help make the lighting a bit less bright. The best bit of feedback I ever got was to not have one or two bright lights, but to have lots of dimmer ones, to make the lighting more ambient. - You could try use an HDRI, which gives you a background, and realistic lighting to go with it. I love HDRIs oml, they have gotten me out of so many problems.
- The pose looks a bit flat, I don’t know how else to put it. You could maybe move the legs a bit, to change the way he is standing, to make it look a bit more action like.
- Did you use blender 2.7/2.8, and cycles? If you didn’t, this feedback is probably irrelevant to you. Make sure to always denoise your renders, as it improves the quality of them a lot. It might just be my eyes, but I think I can see some noise in the shadow.
This is an easy fix, just find a YouTube video on denoising, it is a lifesaver!
I hope my feedback was helpful to you, and I can’t wait to see more of your GFXs! Keep up the great work!
Just go to the render tab, open the denoise and enable it and select from NLM to OpenImageDenoise and the results would come out much smoother. also note that you need to edit your preferences. if you have a high-end GPU you gotta select CUDA or Optix in the system tab to make it go a little bit faster with the rendering.
