What the heck is a furry harness

Uhhhhh
You mean a vest or body armor?

It’s definitely an interesting name you gave it…

Doesn’t look like it has anything to do with furries. It’s just a police harness or body armor. It doesn’t have any details so it’s hard to give feedback. Keep going!

If you want feedback about armor itself then:
Usually, people overcomplicate things and all geometry. That’s not your case. You oversimplified it. Make a bit of relief into it, cuz right now it looks like simple shirt for beach.

I personally would avoid controversy. Some people view harnesses as taboo. I personally love harnesses as fashion accessories, I think they look really cool and should be normalized as fashion accessories, but they are not. They are considered adult clothing. Maybe someday they’ll just be fashion, but currently they unfortunately aren’t.

As for Blender, I simply feel that, add pouches and buttons. Harnesses have metal/plastic things that attach them. You need more detail, if you find yourself unable to figure out how to do so, simply think of what you are trying to do, and find a tutorial.

Best of luck.

I don’t wish to assume where you are at, but a list of things to learn are:

Subdivision surface.

Auto smooth.

Bevel.

Solidify.

Extrude.

Recalculate normals.

UV unwrapping.

If the aim is to make some sort of body armor, it’s rather simple in design, perhaps a bit too simple unless you plan to let textures do all the work.

Add some padding, buttons and whatnot if you can.
It’s design is very flat, padding and pockets already adds more depth to it.
