Made some Lego Bricks using the CSG Modeler on Gametest2

I spent 4 hours doing this… but it is well worth it (and I will have a bug to report) seeing my friend will use them. Look at these, they look pretty realistic!

Wow, o.e, nice.

Just tried to make a Tulip.

Hows the CSG modeler for making terrain? Or trees?

If you could potentially upload the RBXL file for that, I’d love to test that with some Physics

Good lawd! That is remarkably accurate. Very nice! You can make all kinds of building blocks with CSG.

But what about…
Hello there,
As you know, ROBLOX is all about user-generated content. This means that what we really want to see are the games and other creations that spring from your own imagination wherever possible. Our Terms and Conditions prohibit content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. This content includes games, sounds, images, and other assets. Though we don’t screen content in advance, we do remove content from our site that infringes on other brands at the owners’ request. There are a few major properties with which you should be familiar:

  • Lord of the Rings
  • Harry Potter
    - LEGO
    - Minecraft

While we cannot allow the use of logos, images, characters, names and such from these brands, we do encourage you to take ideas and re-invent them into something new and unique.

Thank you for understanding!
@Radioaktiivinen: Should work well, takes a while to get good at it. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Khanovish: Remember, they said on the Bloxcon physics do not apply yet, but I can give the model file here. Unfortunately, they will not snap together since they can’t be forced like that, without weld they would fall apart. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Adamintygum: They made hundreds of thousands of different Lego part varieties… sounds hard. Also I was considering a plugin, but the issue is Lego things have a chance of being deleted when oh say the copyright issue is on a massive spike like last year.

@iLiLiL: I am mostly doing this for a concept and testing the abilities and limits of the CSG modeler, and posted it to show they can be used for realistic building, I was aware about the copyright (and my friends game getting closed and 100s of his shirts content deleted sticked that very well in my memory).

I am working on Airplane concepts using it (ill post pictures in a separate thread, since that will be more practical than the Lego bricks), and it will really change Roblox, cause now we can see the same windows on the inside and outside.

Also… I posted the Tulip on a Minecraft forum site (name will remain anonymous unless someone asks), and now I am raking the positive ratings (and I can get negative ratings there) :swag:

I decided not to create a new thread for the plane, here are some images:

Also… made a model file for the lego parts, use them if you want, or delete the file too.

The links not working. Can you dropbox it?

Dropbox? (Probably sounding like a noob right now :stuck_out_tongue: ) What is dropbox?

It’s a website which offers cloud storage. You can upload files to it and share them with other users.
