HOW TO PLAY:
Magic Knight Battlegrounds (MKB) is a simple magic-based fighting sandbox. There are two things that are crucial to player progression, wins and merit. As you rack up battleground wins you’ll gain merit and unlock new titles, mounts, accessories and magical artifacts.
What Are Perfect Blocks?
If begin to block at the exact moment an attack lands you will execute a prefect block. This will stagger your opponents for a few moments allowing you to unleash devastating counters.
What Are Arcane Arts?
Arcane Arts are a specific grimoire’s ultimate spell. They can only be performed once your Arcane Meter is completely full.
What Is Mana Guard?
Mana Guard is a multi-purpose combat tool for besting your opponents. When activated, it coats the caster in a layer of protective mana that negates incoming magical damage for a brief period. In addition to that, a portion of the incoming magical damage is converted into mana and arcane charge so a perfectly timed mana guard could give you the edge in a battle. However, it is important to note that you are NOT immune to physical strikes while mana guard is active.
Once in your mana guard stance you are also able to execute what is known as a Mana Rush. This will blast you towards your foes at high speeds. This is a great option for getting past large AoE or beam-like attacks. However, be careful as Mana Rushes can be blocked and even perfect blocked which can quickly put you on the back foot!
What Is Mana Burst?
Think of Mana Burst as a defensive application of Mana Guard. If you have the mana to spend pressing the block button while heavy stunned will trigger a quick burst of energy to knock foes back and give you a bit of breathing room.
What Is Merit?
Merit is the currency used to unlock new tiers of magic for the grimoire catalogue. Merit is obtained through defeating other player or event bosses. The cost of different magics will depend on its rarity (which based primarily on its destructive power).
What Are Magical Artifacts?
Magical artifacts are unique objects you can obtain while playing MKB. These artifacts have a wide assortment of buffs and abilities that can be utilized simply by equipping them!
