cool. clean and simple!

the one thing i would suggest is to add something on the right side.

maybe some more decor in the background?

Looks quite nice and better than anything I could make myself.
Only recommendations personally is maybe playing around to see if another font could make it look cooler, also maybe a fade effect and tween the ui to one side and rotate the camera in the other direction?

Is this angle better guys?

gonna be honest, no. i can’t see the full screenshot so I don’t know how it really looks but from this, no.

So I should keep the original angle then?

Great work! Overall it’s clean, but I do have a few suggestions. Of course these are all just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.

Balance out the padding between menu options
To me it looks like the distance between the help button and log buttons is slightly larger than the distance between the play and help buttons. This is very slight but it can definitely hurt the sleek look it seems like you’re going for.

Keep icons consistent
I can’t help but notice that for both the play and help buttons you used very simple, pure white, clipart icons, however the logs icon is both in full color and fairly detailed for its size (which can make it look cluttered). This difference can make look out of place amongst the other options.

Lastly I would say the same thing a lot of other people are saying which is, the right side feels a bit empty. There’s various things you could do to fix this like decorating the room, but since it seems like you’re wanting to keep this simple classic look I personally would head to ui work instead.

I’m not sure what the “logs” menu entails, but if I were in your shoes I would simply place the logs on that right side instead of hiding it inside of the nested menu. If that doesn’t work with how you’re setting up your game, you could simply opt for placing the credits on that side of the screen.

Updated due to changes you just made

I really refer the original angle, if anything I might just move it a bit closer to the player.

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS
Keep up the great work and let me know if you have any questions.

So this is the optimal angle?

I would recommend moving the camera to the left a little.

As a good rule of thumb I would avoid overlapping significant background features behind the menu.
