The main part of the build:

The special part of the build:

And the whole room:

(Dummy is there to help with scaling and to keep me company :DD)

I have got back into building after my 5-month break, and since I’ve stopped making GUIs recently

Anyways I hope you guys can provide some sort of feedback, It really helps

Thanks,
Thunder

edit: I’m sorry guys, the main thing of the game is “Sleep Paralysis”, That’s all I will be sharing about the game (maybe)

The walls, opposed to the floor are clearly lacking in detail. The floorboards look decent (albeit with the basic WoodPlanks material and color). If you’re trying to go for a horror atmosphere you need to work on your lighting more. It doesn’t feel scary and looks similar to a roleplay game. The dimensions of the room are odd as well, as I feel you have left a lot of empty space in between the bed and the TV. This could be okay in terms of gameplay but in stylistically doesn’t make sense. The overall color of the room is a bit bland, with the brown motif not really giving the room a unique feel to it.

A piece of advice I will give is to look around your room and other examples online. Try to figure out a better size and some props to give it some more density and character. The room doesn’t feel lived in and seems to only exist as a level in a video game. A good level should not even feel like a level in the first place, if you get what I mean.

Also, I don’t really get what constitutes a basic flatscreen television on a table and a half-open door as the “special” part of the room.

Thanks for the feedback, I will try to fix it up and add more props, but after I posted that I tried to make the room a bit darker, then I got this problem:

And that lights up the room brighter than I wanted it to be.

And the special part of the room is where the most action will take place (sorry I didn’t mention it)

It doesn’t look bad, but it is a little bland. Try making the room a bit smaller perhaps, or add some paintings or shelves to the walls. It’s a little dark as well, I would try to fix the lighting a little bit, and focus on the detail in the room. If you’re looking for a horror game design, try having broken wood planks, blood, and stuff scattered on the floor. There’s a lot of unnecessary empty space, try scripting the tv to static, and adding scary music, and flickering lights. The wall color might need a change to touch up the feel of a horror game to bring it more to life.

Ok I will try that in the main scene of the game, Thanks for the feedback

In my opinion, it’s ok. Just what @Caladudes said that the room is very empty. You should add more decorations in it to make less empty. The door, and television need to be improve little bit. Although, it’s great. Keep it up and stay improve!

Thank you so much for the feedback and the motivation!

Looks pretty decent for a bed room, but there is a lot of open space. I would put more bed room type things in there to minimize the open space, try these.

  • Chairs, Computer, Desk
  • Drawers
  • Carpet
  • Cabinets, etc
The walls are in need of improvement as well, maybe try some of these?
  • If you want the walls to be a little old, maybe have a few cracks in the walls
  • Paintings/Pictures
  • Some things that could motivate the player, but being held by something (idea below)

Try making the ambience more eerie by using the Lightning service
