Make ball move in hollow ball

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
So basically topic could be a bit complicated, here is screenshot of what i wan’t to do

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
I have no idea. I tryed align position with tons of end part, but that works so bad

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub? I tryed looking some posts, but found nothing

Currently i have no code, so i’m asking for advice

Bumping that topic (30 letterssssssssssss)

Bump number #2 (30 letterssssssssss)

Try making the outer ball as a union of a big sphere minus a small sphere. Assuming collision fidelity can be set to precise convex decomposition for a union. I don’t remember.

How Solid Modeling would help there? I don’t really get. Maybe you didn’t understand topic correctly? I need that small lighting ball from screenshot
move in circles. This require some velocity ig, but idk which one

I understood you wanted a small ball moving inside a big ball.

You didn’t mean move freely?

You want it to circle alone the edge? How about a hinge constraint with two attachments. An attachment for the small one offset by the radius of the big one. And an attachment in the middle of the big one. Enable the motor and make it rotate.

Hinges are a little tricky to get right in my experience. But it should be possible to make the little ball “orbit” the big one.

Sorry for late answer. I tryed hinge constraint with motor mode. Though photon just flyes to the centerpart and stops there.

Here is screenshot of exp:

Here hinge parameters:

One of the attachments needs to be moved to the side with the move tool. The one on the small ball, I think. Not rotated, only moved. Does it work?

Same result as before.

It just flyes to center

what are you trying to make i don’t understand from the screenshot

ok how about you create a bar, align it at the center of the hollow ball and weld the lighting ball to it.
Then you can just rotate the bar
