I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I can’t find anything on it anywhere, but, if I were to make a game that, legally, could not contain monetization (sonic fangame for instance), would premium payouts be considered monetization? I don’t want to kick people using premium, as that could possibly hurt the player count.
For context, I make games on an alt account (iAmEatingYourDoor) for moderation safety (if false bans happen they wont be on my main account. I do this because my account that was created on 2016 got falsely terminated for inserting a model that had UTG in it. I did not know the model had UTG, as it was a tree model). Because of my alt usage, no robux from games are going to my main account, and all monetized games would go under a group to use group payouts to give my main the robux.
So, if I were to make a game on an alt account I don’t even play on, would the premium payouts count as monetization?
I can try to explain my situation more if anyone needs me to.
Any profit (Robux or Robux converted to real money) would be considered an income by a copyright owner, so they could get your game taken down.
As you already know, Premium payouts are Robux & this would be the concerning factor because they don’t know what you do with the profit after you get it.
Maybe put a big comment in capital letters in the first line of the game description that Premium players will not be able to play for this reason, then put a message in the game that instantly pops up when they join explaining why they are being kicked.
