Making a room look textured and detailed

I’m making a horror game and trying to create some normal-looking rooms, but they look bland and vague. I was planning to add textures but all the textures I add don’t seem to be noticeable or wouldn’t be in the beige- light orange color. Is there any way to add a texture that looks noticeable or any details I should add to the room?

here are the links I use for the textures

Horror games have a dark, ran down feel. is that what youe going for? You can add dirt pr cracks to the walls. Make the scene look a whole lot darker.

Also, use some mesh bed sheets. They’re wavy and look really realistic.

Another note, the room is Very big for the amount of stuff in it. I recommend making it smaller.

The begging part of the game is going to have a happy feel to it since it’s a family getting ready to go on a vacation. Once more into the game, it will be more of a scary and dark look.

Alright, then in that case, make the room smaller still like I said, But make a nice windows and do some lighting effects to make the sun shine through.

Now, of course use your own window design, this is just a lighting example. But it can be achieved with very transparent parts, or bilboard guis, or a few other things.

Just really emphasize a warm feeling.
