Making Belasco Theatre, NYC

OUR CREATION

Hey, I’ve recently been working on a Belasco Theatre, NYC project. I’ve been helped by @aerplo , If you could give us some constructive criticism that would be great :slightly_smiling_face:! Now lets look at my progress, its basically the outside but the interior is horrendously painfull to do.https://gyazo.com/0e872f7691d813aaf69b1c02d3a2295d

Here is our progress, thanks for reading!

Hi there, from the picture you’ve provided, there isn’t much I am able to say. Do you have a clearer or closer picture of the building?

Sure I’ll be a second. Sorry about that, Ill get a clearer view.

Sorry for being a pain again, but is it possible you could send a few more with different angles?
Although, from what I see in the pictures you’ve sent me, it looks great, no issues to report yet.

There are 3 links in one. Xd. Sorry 'bout that.

No worries,

I love the amount of detail you have gone into to make this aesthetically pleasing, which it certainly is. However, potential issues have come up.

I feel not much attention has been given to the right side of the building, which compared to the left side, looks empty. Although, this may be intentional due to the entrance being on the other side. But then again, this is just me being picky. I think it would look alright how it currently is too.

And secondly,
I feel as if the overhang (although not hanging over very far) could do with either some pillars or wires holding it up, similar to:

or

This would certainly increase realism and make it look less like it was floating.

Finally, I don’t feel enough attention was given to the bollards (posts) outside of the building. The building itself is extremely detailed and, I love that, however, the posts are quite plain and from the pictures they just appear to be cylinders and I feel that ruins the rest of it. Adding more detail to these would make it look much better.

Please do keep in mind I have no sort of experience with theaters or have any knowledge of what they look like, the points given to you were just personal preferences, and potentially for others too. But other than these, I think the building is amazing and I have high hopes for whatever it is this will be used for.

Good luck, and I hope this helped.

Thanks so much! I will deffinetley attach a rope to the roof. Thanks for replying to the post, good luck in the future.
