Making Your Own Shadow System Instead Of Using Default?

I played around with making shadows for a while and made good progress, Found out that this can be used if optimized in games such as horror and scenary projects.

There are a few problems though, many rays are casted so optimization is limited. If there were a way to cast a simple version of a ray which isnt expensive this wouldve been a way of making games more immersive

I’m not sure where to move on from here I find it hard to optimize and make more precise shadows without much lag
