Mass Importing Decals

Is there any particularly way to mass import decals, or is it still a one by one process.?

I knew a Google Chrome plugin used to suffice, but then Roblox implemented a limit on how many decals could be uploaded in a certain time-span. I have textures of cars that I need to import as decals so the IDs can be used in a script to easily change the paint of the car at any given time.

You can import them in studio in mass by selecting multiple images in your file explorer after clicking this. To open the game explorer (seen here) go to Studio>View>Game Explorer

That is mass adding images. Not decals. I need to be able to use them across multiple places, not just one place.

This chrome extension made by Seranok awhile back works pretty well, though there is a limit per minute on how many you can upload

Yeah. I used to use that but the limit always shut me down. Is the limit a known value?

Believe its about 5 OR 10 a minute. Not 100% sure

the images are uploaded decals to the site sir

example (it’s black because i have a dark theme on the website)

But doesn’t it not get a proper asset id? Or did that change? Because I swear it used to not…

You can either use the file path for the game that you uploaded it in, or the asset id for the decal that’s uploaded to the site. It’s always been this way.

Hmm. Fair enough. Didn’t know that.

Anyone know what happened to this? Chrome Sync has uninstalled it for me and can’t get i back :sob::sob::sob:

Was the extension removed from the webstore by chrome?

(quick edit: extension was removed from the webstore that is why it was removed)

Does chrome auto uninstall plugins when they’re removed from store?

I mean, doesn’t it get ripperoni’ed by the upload limit anyways?

I would assume they auto uninstall it since it was most likely deleted from the webstore.

Seems like it was removed from the webstore, though I still have it

Still quicker uploading in small batches than individual clicks. Usually I only upload 2-3 things at a time so fulfilled by needs well!

I found this online but don’t know how to install it or if it is safe, any thoughts?

I am not sure. There is probably a reason the extension as pulled from chrome webstore. I mean you can take the risk.

Used it for years without a problem. Was made by Seranok who doesn’t exactly have a bad reputation.
