Material Alingment

Hey guys, I need some help on how to align materials such as in the image below. It does not look nice where the borders of the bricks meet, anybody know any plugins? Thanks! (Material flip does not work in this instance).

To have a smooth consistent texture select the parts with the same material that you want flush and make it a union.

Is there a way to do it without unions? Trying to avoid them for lag purposes

No sadly not at the moment other than changing the height using increments of .25. Also unions actually reduce lag more than cause it. Individual parts cause more lag.

No, they cause lag if used often.

I don’t recommend using the brick material. Try finding and using a seamless brick texture instead.

Although this is a good idea the seamless will not prevent this as its not one consistent texture. That’s why the unions or its subtract feature is really the only way without using a mesh.

It wouldn’t be one “consistent” texture, that’s true. However, if the texture is seamless, it’ll all fit together, making it look less messy and stupid. Unions are extremely unreliable due to performance issues and corruption.

Don’t Union anything, or convert to a MeshPart, or bother with resizing. Just… Use a wedge :stuck_out_tongue:
