In a fairly recent update, the “Preferred Player Count” and “Maximum Player Count” values were capped to 50. It was previously capped at 100 (my game used a player count above 50).
Changing my game description (last changed before the update) inadvertently set both my “Preferred Player Count” and “Maximum Player Count” to 1.
Misc:
This is for a group game, and I am not a beta tester.
Before this update, this input was a html input text (it’s now a html select).
Changing the values of the html to above 50, I wasn’t able to save the count to any value above 50. Was there a change to the backend that enforces this? And if so, was this an intentional change?
Is anyone else getting this issue? (And were there any announcements I missed?)
I am a beta tester and am not experiencing this issue. I can still set my player count > 50.
I’m pretty sure 100-player-servers was always a beta feature. I assume someone else set the server size of the group game? Maybe they were a beta tester.
Yeah, updating a place’s configuration sends the entire config to save, so when you tried sending an “invalid” number (> 50), Roblox reset it to one, even though you didn’t touch the server size.
Yep, even on group games I can set > 50. Highest is 200 since the 100-player-server beta was increased to 200. I tested on a group I owned and a group I just had edit access in.
