Hello! Me and my team are programming a Dungeon Quest sort of game, we have multiple ideas like a real life based explorer type of game, or like a fantasy zombie apocalypse survival, any ideas on theme’s that will be the most intriguing?
Would be fun to use futuristic theme like for example raiding area 51, fighitng aliens and broke machineries so you can pass. You can also a semi-puzzle blend too, like while raiding, you collect parts along the way with your teammates and if not collected mostly, the door to next area won’t open
Ooh something like a travel around the world kind of thing. Similar to the Egg Hunt: The Great Yolktales but more adventure. You can collect gems or different keys along the way through some places(jungle, winter area, underworld, the space) to unlocking the final part of the game where you fight some kind of boss, have some challenges along the way, and for the fighting i was thinking like elemental fights where you can shoot fireballs and lightning bolts. I know it’s kind of like elemental battlegrounds with more detail but, I would love to play something like that. Also it might be some idea hopefully to anyone
Here is an idea of mine:
Your team of explorers are stuck on a deserted island, with no food, water and you have to always be on the move to stay safe from the creatures on the island. One day, when running away from the creatures, your team stumble upon a cave and decide to go in there to hide from the creatures. When all of you get in, the door closes and you have to find your way out.
That’s when you can add in the dungeon quest map which will be the cave. You can have a final boss battle where you find an exit but have to fight a boss first.
