Howdy! I was investigating some Enums’ and messing around with MembershipType with Premium and such and when doing so, I’ve noticed the deprecated membership of the legacy Builder Club that used to be on Roblox for a very long time and went away when Premium was introduced.
Happens inside a Script class when using Enum.MembershipType in usecases in development.
Yes, not really somewhat a bug, but it’s not useful and will never be used as Premium has taken over that role and membership on the Roblox Engine and platform for users to upgrade.
Studio Version: 0.451.0.412446 (64-bit) as of 10/28/2020.
Me and @Sharkyia found this bug earlier in studio, credit him for pointing that out.
It isn’t really an issue but normally a bug on the Engine side of Lua on Roblox, should have been deprecated months or even a year ago when Premium was introduced.
Sorry for the delayed response. The engineers are working on this but there is no timeframe for a fix to be rolled out at this time. If/When i get more info i will pass it on.
I am in the process of checking over bug reports and following up on some bugs that haven’t received any activity in a while.
Is this issue still occurring or can you confirm that this bug has been resolved? We are having a hard time reproducing this issue.
Thanks for your report! This is Not A Bug as per the following engineer comment “These elements are not marked as deprecated, so they should be suggested.”
I think they are requesting that those enums be deprecated and thus not suggested for the “New Developer Experience”, as those enums are no longer possible to activate. Therefore it is a “bug”.
The point by hippie is that this is a bug report but this is not technically a bug. If the user wants these deprecated it should be posted as / turned into a feature request. They go through different workflows at Roblox.
