The __gc metamethod is supposed to be disbaled in roblox, it doesn’t error, but it just won’t work. All though it is still mentioned in the wiki here.
Perhaps it should be removed, or simply tell the reader that it’s disabled.

Ah, yeah that sounds kind of important. I’ve updated the page to note that __gc can’t be used, among other various improvements to the page. While I’d like to do a bigger update to the page, this should do for now. You should see the changes within a few days
