Mesh importing not working

Hello. I’ve been trying to import a tree mesh for awhile. I have tried both ways to import it. The first way was importing from a mesh part:

The second way is by importing from the game explorer. What happens is it takes 1 minute and then it says that the limit for uploading time is reached. Is there any way to fix this?

You could break the mesh into 2 or more parts then import them individually. You could also make the mesh less detailed then try importing it.

Ill try to do that, though the mesh is not that detailed. Ill try to split it.

First of all, .obj > .fbx.

Wavefront (.obj) is more convenient in a lot of ways. FBX gives you more settings during export which in return makes it that more complex to use while Wavefront is straight forward and more user friendly.

The Tris or Triangle/Polygon count limit is 10.000. Make sure your mesh does not exceed this number.
If it does you can split your mesh up into multiple parts. In case of a tree I recommend seperating the trunk & branches from the fronds, polygon limit or not.

A common issue I see is accidentally exporting the entire Scene while just trying to export a single object.
Make sure to actually select the desired object and enable Selection Only when exporting as Wavefront. This is disabled by default in Blender 2.79, version 2.8 or up may have this already enabled, I can’t confirm.

This is everything you need to know about importing:

I would use Asset Manager and then Bulk Import it then go to your file and then accept. Then wait for it to upload and inside the asset manager click on your mesh and turn off the top option if you’re using textures since it could ruin the texture, then just right click it when it is selected and press Import With Location. I also found on Redit that if your account is under 13 it wont work but that could be a lie
