Mesh is darker when facing -Z but normal when facing +Z

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I’m trying to make a mesh for UGC.

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
For some reason, the mesh is darker when facing -Z but normal when facing +Z?

  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
I tried to search for solutions such as flipping normals, recalculating normals, smoothing vectors, backface culling… But none of that worked.

It’s the sun. Change the suns location.

This works, but it wouldn’t really fix the issue as this is a mesh for UGC, therefore lightning varies since it will be used on many different games

It varies for literally everything. You simply can’t fix this unless roblox adds emission maps.

So it’s a Roblox limitation? Well that’s stupid.

Yeah… pretty much.
