Mesh or Parts more resource hungry?

I need several iterations of a chair model in my experience. I want to do vintage chairs with lathed legs. I could build up every leg with Roblox standard parts as a union (cylinders and cones, around 7 parts) or do a mesh in 3Dmax and import it (around 50 vertices). Which solution would be more performance friendly?

As far as I know, Roblox unions create extra triangles and have many other performance-related issues, so importing everything from other software is the best solution.

However, unless this chair will be around your scene hundreds of times, 50 vertices or some unions are mostly the same and won’t affect performance as much.

Thanks a lot, this pretty much answers it.
There won’t be hundreds of the chairs, but still around 50.
But the chairs were just an example, because I was working on them when I wrote the question. There will be much more models in the experience where this information will be relevant.
So thanks again.
