Mesh Shadows help / UGC

I made my first ugc and I’m trying to remove the shadows, but I don’t know how to do it. Here is how the UGC and on blender then on roblox studio.

There is a trick to remove shadows, but can look a little weird some times. Worth a try.

My example is on this head. Here is it with shadows:

  1. Add a plane. Rotate to face the same direction as your model. Doesnt matter where you place the plane.

  2. On your model (your hair in this instance) add a “Data Transfer” modifier. Make the source the plane. Check “Face Corner Data”. Select “Custom Normals”. Set mapping to “Nearest Corner and Best Matching Face Normal”.

  3. Now the model will look a little weird. Shiny, kind of, but it will look different in Studio. Apply the modifier before exporting!

  4. After applying the modifier and re-importing into Studio, the mesh will have different shadows. Shown is the original example beside the modified example.
