Mesh won't upload (Status Code: 500)

Reproduction Steps

I can’t upload meshes on roblox studio, it always says “Couldn’t upload Mesh Status Code: 500” whenever I try to. I know that status code 500 means internal server error but it’s been 5 hours and it’s still not working so I reported it.

Expected Behavior

Being able to upload meshes again.

Actual Behavior

unknown

Workaround

You can still upload meshes by avatar importer but it’s longer process.

This seems to be happening to other assets aswell, especifically when trying to upload an asset under a group

This is occurring for us too when trying to upload a .fbx to a group. Tried on two different accounts, and tried with an older model that uploaded successfully before but we get the same error.

The bug is currently holding me back from pushing an update for Shindo, the only uploads that have been working for me are audios.

RobloxStudioBeta_2IjIUbPoy4
apparently it does work, it just acts like it failed to upload

Yeah, this is happening to me and all my developers too, no animations can be uploaded to any group on any game. Doesn’t matter what the name is, just throws status code: 500. This has been happening all day today and yesterday with no sign of it fixing.

the models are uploaded for me, but it shows the error

happening with group animations too

turns out they are uploading its just saying it didnt work.

has also just happened to me, i bulk imported my model i’ve just made and everything except for the lights appears to have imported correctly except for those 2 meshes, and the output gives me a code 500

Just experienced it at around 00:00 +1 UTC 27/08/2022

I think the only solution is to just wait for Roblox to fix it on their end
edit: forgot to mention that I bulked imported using FBX instead of OBJ if file type is relevant

Seems to be group specific I cant even access any assets published under my group

Good to know that I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. I own a Roblox group, and on of the experiences we’re working on for the group has been experiencing this issue. It’s not just me, it’s everyone in the team create that’s having this issues with uploading meshes. Only work arounds I have found at the moment would be to upload in a different experience that isn’t group owned, or to use the Mesh Importer. It’s frustrating, and took me a while to figure out how to get a work around. Hopefully they read this and look into it. :+1:

Thanks for the report. Our engineering team is investigating and will follow up once we have more updates.
